Full Job Description

  • This position reports to the Director of R&D Project Management.


  • Provides updates in weekly R&D team meetings to communicate overall project statuses and R&D team action items across all active projects.
  • Attends project meetings with external parties to document meeting minutes and action items.
  • Develops and maintains project action item trackers within the project management software to enable resource metrics and automated notifications via workflows.
  • Communicates and collaborates with cross-functional project team members for the timely completion of action items to ensure project progress.
  • Creates new project schedules and maintains existing project schedules to reflect all activities and milestones.
  • Creates new project management plans and maintains existing plans to demonstrate strategies and resources for each project.
  • Maintains the R&D Project Management document repository.
  • Tracks project invoices to report on project actual costs and identify any invoice discrepancies against project agreements or quotes.
  • Reviews project cost forecasts against project schedules and quote amendments to determine any forecast changes.
  • Proactively identifies project risks and communicates these risks to the appropriate cross-functional team members.
  • Documents all project risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Maintains project key decision logs.
  • Other duties as requested by management.


  • Bachelor's degree (chemistry or biology preferred)
  • Previous work experience in project management preferred
  • Strong communication & organization skills
  • Time Management
  • Proficient with the Microsoft office products
  • Experience with project scheduling
  • Knowledge of project management tools, to include cloud based software
